SUBSIDY FOR INDIVIDUALS

In the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, various forms of state, municipal, and ENOPRIMES subsidies are available to private individuals for photovoltaic installations and heat pumps.
Pursuant to the Grand-Ducal Regulation dated April 16, 2021, amending the modified Grand-Ducal Regulation of December 23, 2016, which sets forth the implementing measures of the amended law of December 23, 2016, establishing a scheme of aid to promote sustainability, the rational use of energy, and renewable energy sources in the housing sector, financial incentives have been established to encourage the adoption of renewable energies.
State aid includes grants and loans for the installation of photovoltaic systems and heat pumps. These measures aim to promote the use of renewable energies and improve the energy efficiency of residential buildings. ENOPRIMES, as an integral part of this aid scheme, provide additional incentives in the form of bonuses for the implementation of sustainable energy solutions.
Municipalities in Luxembourg are also involved in these support initiatives. They may offer local grants and tax benefits to citizens to promote the installation of photovoltaic systems and heat pumps in residential areas. These local initiatives help facilitate the transition to renewable energies at the community level and support the country’s sustainability objectives.
